Buick has teamed up with NCAA, Turner Sports and CBS Sports to share stories of inspiration of former student-athletes with fans and the community.DETROIT, M.I. Michigan Buick dealers may be interested to know how Buick is giving back to the community. There are many stories about victories and champions told about teams and their games, but stories about what those team members did after they played may be left in the shadows. Buick along with NCAA, Turner Sports and CBS Sports have partnered to create a campaign to share these inspiring stories of former student-athletes with the community.Together these organizations will create the Buick Human Highlight Reel, which will tell the true stories of the lessons, involvement, reach and connection that has been made by former student-athletes.According to the NCAA, some of the stories and former student-athletes that will be featured include: Dr. Gabe Lewullis, who scored the winning shot for Princeton University against defending champion UCLA in 1996. Lewullis is a sports medicine orthopedic surgeon and spokesperson for Our Future Stars, a non-profit organization that works to get corporate funding for high school sports programs at risk of being shut down due to budget cuts. Cullen Jones, who swam for North Carolina State University and became the second African-American in history to win an Olympic Gold medal in the sport. Jones works with the USA Swimming Foundations Make a Splash program to teach minority children how to swim. Dr. Denton Cooley, who played basketball at the University of Texas Austin, and is a pioneer in open-heart surgery. Cooley played in the first NCAA Division I Mens Basketball Tournament in 1939 and went on to perform the first successful heart transplant in the United States in 1968 and implanted the first totally artificial heart in a human in 1969.The Buick Human Highlight Reel is planned to launch at the start of the NCAA Division I Mens Basketball Championship. Other ways Buick will be reaching out with this new campaign include an archive of the complete stories available at http://www.ncaa.com/buick,which will include videos from filmmakers associated with a creative social network called Zooppa; a 30-minute television show with some Human Highlight Reel stories will air before the 2011 NCAA Mens Final Four semifinal games on April 2; and, finally, a few selected video profiles will air during preliminary-round tournament coverage on truTV.Buick recently announced the Buick Achiever Scholarship Program, as some Michigan Buick dealers may know, and this new partnership will be another way for Buick to help guide the next generation of leaders by inspiring with stories of community involvement.The Buick Human Highlight Reel shows the continued leadership and dedication that student-athletes have once they complete their academic programs and become active in their communities or involved with broad initiatives that have a positive influence on the lives of others, said Peter Davis, NCAA director of championships and alliances in a NCAA press release.The Buick Highlight Reel will also include a section on its website called Tell Us Your Story, where fans may share their stories about how NCAA former student-athletes may have helped them or affected them in some way.Michigan Buick dealers may be proud to be a part of a corporation that wants to share the positive influencers who shape the community as Buick steps in laying a strong foundation to keep these stories alive.

@chairmanmeow22
You also have to have skill when you play in the NBA, Kawhi doesn’t have what it takes to play with the big boys, hes a power forward in a small forward’s body. On top of that he only shot 44% in college… do you expect that to go up in the NBA??

Decent game, but not much of change from 08,
This is a decent game that does include a few more minor features than the previous edition. Whether or not those few extras make it worth buying is up to you. The commentators still get slip up now and then, and the actual gameplay and graphics are no different from 08. I would wait until the price comes down before making it a permanent part of my collection.

|Some Changes from ’08, Not for the Better,
Considering how little improvement EA Sports put into this years edition, you’d have to think that the PS2 is being phased out.
Of course with this year’s game, you have the roster updates, along with any changes in uniforms and helmets. There are some minor changes to the Campus Legend and Dynasty modes.
The DB Cover position drill in the Campus Legend mode was changed for the worse. The view of the field zooms farther out but doesn’t include the extreme sidelines. If the WR does a very shallow sideline route he goes out of view then suddenly reappears while you frantically try to get your DB over to cover him.
It’s harder to run the ball against the CPU, but easier to pass. The CPU defenders all play like All-Americans against the run, but mediocre against the pass. I also noticed more QB sacks even without playing the Campus Challenge pennant. Some of my team’s more mediocre DE’s and DT’s play like Reggie White or Micheal Strahan clones.
School rosters still max out at 70 players (I wanted to see it up to 75).
Basically I’d say this years NCAA Football plays like last years Madden NFL game (lack of a ground game and poor pass blocking).
Before you play a game go into the game settings and lower the penalties to at least 20% or you will be bombarded with penalties.
I have been an avid fan of the PS2 NCAA Football series since the 2004 edition, but with the lack of effort by EA sports to really improve this years game I need to finally buy that PS3.
In any case, if you’re an avid fan of the series and don’t mind spending the $40, then get it, it’s not that bad. Otherwise, wait until the price lowers or get the ’06 or ’07 versions if you don’t have them already.

|Recycled,
As far as gameplay, graphics, and all that jazz; it’s the same exact game as last year. Except for the presentation of it; also a few minor things done to the dynasty mode, it’s virtually the same. Theirs a mascot challenge, which is just playing with the mascots…kinda dumb. Although within Dynasty mode recruiting is a little better. Safeties actually can tackle better, and some skill positions are faster. Also unless you look at the bench reps and speed, that oversized man child of a WR might be overlooked to become your next great TE. It just feels like you went online and got a downloadable update that’s it. Plus to get the rosters this year it costs $25.00. It’s not worth buying. Flat out.
